Finally went back in and fixed that big white block. It was driving me crazy!
Aaahh!!!! Now THIS is gonna be a good one. A little more original than some of the others entries I've seen - although I do like Amakudari's. ^_^
(I think I'm still spelling that wrong . . . ah well. ^_^)
Anyway, I did the pic this way 'cause I love the manga and so far I've enjoyed the anime (except the final season.) And as everyone knows, I HATED the ovas. They DID NOT follow the manga, totally botched Jinchuu and MADE KENJI HATE HIS DAD!!!! BAKA!!! KENSHIN NEVER WANDERED!!! HE STAYED HOME WHERE HE WAS HAPPPY!! BAKA! BAKA! BAKA!!!!!!!
*Ahem*
Anyway, I've always sort of envisioned Kenshin and Kenji as the perfect father/son pair. I've always seen them possessing a good relationship and I wanted to capture that with this entry for the contest. I LOVE the way it came out. Except you can see a shadow on Kenshin's hair, 'cause I pasted it onto a seperate sheet so I could do the background better. And the cottom balls on the bottom look a little more demented than I wanted, but oh well. It works. ^_^
Still, this was a fun pic to do. Kenshin turned out awesome and so did Kenji. That little boy is most definately a spitting image of our dear rurouni. And obviously he's very adept with swordsmanship too - but then he get's some of that from Kaoru, too, no doubt. Either way, a good entry all around. Kenji idolizing his father, wanting to be just like him.
THAT is what I see of the RK realm. ^_~

I do not consider the OVA's canon, not even the creator of Kenshin see's the OVA as canon, as far as I'm concenred Kenshin and Karou suffered enough hardships in life and deserved happiness. The OVA was too sad and neither Kenshin and Karous deserved what happened to them and Kenshin and Kenji deserved a healthy relationship.
